T Mobile MDA Compact III

The T-Mobile Compact III is similar to the O2 XDA Orbit. It's an easy to use, compact device measuring weighing just 129g. Unlike the MDA Vario/Vario II, this device doesn't have a slide out keyword. The advantage is that it's much slimmer measuring 16.8mm. The Compact III runs on Windows Mobile 5, for which there is plenty of 3rd party software available. It has an integrated GPS receiver for sat nav. The touch screen supports handwriting recognition and menus are easy to navigate using the miniature trackball and the silver dial, which acts as a scroll wheel.

Recently superceded by the MDA Compact IV (HTC Touch Diamond), the Compact III now represents exceptional value for money.
